Paco
Tonight I had a doctor's appointment. While waiting to hear the verdict as to whether I have cancer, I saw a man cruising through the back halls between examining rooms accompanied by his miniature Schnauzer, Paco.
Paco is deaf and does not answer to his name, but he apparently still enjoys visiting his endocrinologist regularly. Of course, there will always be only one Schnauzer in my heart, Kaiser! Still, good to know that even a miniature can hold a large enough place in the heart of my doctor that, health code violations be damned, he is always welcome.
By-the-way, I don't. :)

Well I'm glad to hear you don't, but what a way to let the world know you might.
Not really a worry... I actually forgot about the appointment, because I had ruled it out in my own mind. Still, I thought it would play better if I was nonchalant. Sorry if it came off as callous... my mom did one of those same announcements to us a month ago, so you would think I would have learned some decorum... Just goes to show that you can't teach an old drama queen new tricks unless she thinks they will get her more air time.
By-the-way, she (my mom) doesn't either!
Nah, it didn't sound callous. I just always feel out of the loop and I wasn't sure if I missed something. I only recently learned that your parents were going on a mission. I saw a reference to it in your blog, but didn't quite connect the dots and only this Sunday did my mom think to tell me. (BTW: I think it's exciting they're off to NZ).But then she never told me when Aunt Rhea died. I had to find out some other way.
