Homework Part II: The Final Chapter... (let us hope)

7. Continued: In addition to London, India, Israel, Italy, and (this is taking too long so I am switching to continents) Africa.

8. 5 bad habits I have: “I don’t know… what are your bad habits… I’ll put down whatever you want me to” type wishy-washy behavior, and over scheduling myself and…

Well, most of my ills boil down to those two things.

9. 5 things I like doing: reading, writing (Did TT actually say writing lesson plans? I hope she was joking—sick sense of humor!), going to the theater, traveling and wrapping gifts for people.

10. 5 TV shows I like: Heroes (but I am still on season 1), Daily Show, Colbert Report and Happy Days—is Happy Days still on, because about the last time I watched a TV show with any regularity there was this scene where The Fonz was supposed to jump over a shark on water skis…

ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!

11. 5 things I hate doing: ironing (much of my closet will never be worn again, because I refuse), waking up to an alarm clock, saying good-bye, balancing a certain budget at work, and deciding what to eat for dinner.

12. 5 biggest joys of the moment: 15 minute phone calls from Iraq, finding the perfect wedding gown and keeping it a secret, a good massage (wish it were a joy of this moment)…

Oh a massage would be nice right now…

What was I saying? No clue, but I tag both big sisters… leave a post answering at least one of these 12 questions if you want a cut of the cash… or if you want me to think that you love me…

Mom, This IS My Homework!

Timid Tripper assigned me homework and it is almost three weeks overdue! Follow the link to the left to her October 14 post to know more about her foul mouth and extreme bravery…

As for me, here are the updates on the life, loves and lies of VegasBabe:

1. What I was doing 10 years ago: Ten years ago I was finishing up my undergrad at BYU (yes, BYU put out at least one grad who aspires to a pseudonym reminiscent of a stripper…). I had just finished a summer term in London where I studied Shakespeare & theater and fell in love with My Man Tony for the first time (poor Tony made friends with the wrong cowboy, but I still love him).

2. Five years ago: I was starting my second year as the learning strategist at Middle School X in North Las Vegas, Nevada—corner of Hell and a street that changes names every other block. I was the student council advisor, the tennis coach, the sometimes-secretary and one-time head lice checker.

3. One year ago: I was hearing a lot about how I needed to date this guy named Mr. M. and attending social gatherings where I could check him out and try to impress him with my wit… I am pretty sure I was impressive (see August 14 post). ;) (mom, that was a wink…)

4. Yesterday: I am proud to say that I did 300 crunches on my yoga ball (I hear Oprah does 450 EVERY day!) and I got BabyBro to make me dinner.

5. 5 snacks I enjoy: I also enjoy a good hummus (I liked it first, TT! But I prefer TJ’s version with pine nuts and herbs), ice cream (is that a snack?), wasabi coated nuts (have you tried the macadamia?!?), sushi (I can only afford snack sized) and… ummmm… I can only think of deserts, so I will say Thai sticky rice with coconut ice cream!

6. 5 things I would do if I suddenly had $100 million:
-First, I would pay of my house (and the homes of those who regularly contribute comments to this blog—get going! It could happen… and right now you do not have to split it too many ways).
-Second, I would buy my dad a fancy, red sports car (do not know that he wants one, but I thought of that in 4th grade, and it stuck… drive faster, Spunky!)
-Third, I would buy a diamond encrusted tiara for me (perhaps it is a faze I am going through, but let’s be honest... every girl wants one).
-Fourth, get indigo girls to play my birthday party.
-Fifth, set up some kind of do-good foundation or something to help somebody or something…

7. 5 locations I would like to run away to: I guess I cannot really say Ali Air Base, Iraq, so…
I always like London.

Oh, my gosh… I am gonna have to finish this tomorrow… tune in again…
